From a young age, I felt the presence of something greater, a force, a higher power that created the universe and everything within it. I grew up in a Christian household and made the decision to be baptized at 16. Even then, I had lingering questions and a quiet sense that something wasn’t fully right.
Over the years, I have studied many religions, explored their teachings, and noticed something profound. They are all connected. The stories may differ in names and rituals, but at their core, they share the same wisdom. This realization freed me from the need to choose one path over another.
To me, religion has often been used to control, confuse, and divide people. Having a genuine relationship with the divine, however you define it, is what truly matters. Jesus, for example, is an ancestor and teacher in my eyes. He showed us that we are divine beings and that the magic exists within each of us.
I also understand that sacred texts, like the Bible, have been altered over centuries, with words changed and pages removed to benefit those in power. That does not diminish the essence of the teachings. What matters is the love, the wisdom, and the guidance that can still be drawn from them.
At the heart of my spiritual belief is a simple truth. We should love one another and treat each other with kindness. That is the ultimate expression of our connection to the divine.
Spirituality, for me, is not about rules or doctrines. It is about awakening to the divine within ourselves and recognizing it in others. It is about seeing the magic in the everyday and walking through the world with compassion, curiosity, and an open heart.
