New Year, Better You!: 5 Ways to Be a Better You 2020!

I know I’m a month late but HAPPY NEW YEARS LIONESSES! I hope 2020 has been promising so far (and if it hasn’t don’t worry, it’s still early in the year!) With the new year comes the pressure of having the “perfect” new year resolution(s). Every year I hear and see people talk about “ new year, new me!” and how this year they ” gonna be on some new shit”. In actuality, I feel like it shouldn’t be “new year, new me”.

It should be “new year, BETTER me!” Nothing is wrong with you, we don’t need a new you. But I would say that there is always room for growth and improvement. For 2020, how about you work on being a better you. To help you goddesses with this task, I will share 5 different things that can be done to be a better you this year and for any year.

Learn how to love and accept yourself.

When you have self-love and self-acceptance, you go through life overstanding a lot of things differently than most. You overstand that mistakes are made, so you aren’t so hard on yourself. You overstand that what others think about you doesn’t matter; it’s what you think and how you feel about yourself that does.

When you love yourself, it’s harder for people to mistreat you because you know your worth and value. Loving and accepting yourself makes you happier and healthier. Once you learn how to love and accept yourself, you become at peace with yourself and others around you. This is an amazing new year resolution that will make 2020 a year of pure bliss and blessings.

Stop thinking negatively.

This year, let’s finally break the chain of negative thoughts. Our thoughts are extremely significant when it comes to manifesting our reality. If we are constantly stuck in our past transgressions and traumas, the future is going to be just that: past transgressions and traumas. Whatever vibrations you are putting out into the universe is what you are going to get back. This is why thinking about positive opportunities, experiences, and outcomes can only benefit you. Stop with the doubts, worries and fears and 2020 will be filled with certainty, contentment, and freedom.

Speak positively.

Thinking positively comes with speaking positively as well. We cast spells with our words so it is very important that we watch what we say. If what is coming out of your mouth does not serve you, you shouldn’t be saying it (even if you are joking around). The universe doesn’t know the difference so it will still give you back that same energy you are putting out, “playing” or not.

We manifest with our words so what you speak about is what becomes your reality. Speak of love, joy, freedom, and stability and these will be the main components of the reality you later create for yourself. We are the authors of our stories and what we write (speak) is what goes into the book. Be mindful of how you talk to and about yourself and others this year.

Get a vision/manifestation board.

Create a board with all your goals, dreams, wishes and desires. You can cut out pictures from a magazine or print out pictures online. You can use glue or tape to stick the pictures on your board. For my vision board, I used the cardboard left from a large wall calendar. A science project board, large poster, or a large canvas can also be used. You can find these at any local groceries like Walmart, Target, or a local dollar store.

Having a vision board helps motivate and remind you throughout the year the things you want to accomplish. Put it up somewhere you are guaranteed to see it. You can even dedicate 2-3 minutes of your day to stand in front of your board and really admire your visions. Stand there and visualize yourself accomplishing and having everything on your board. Visualizing increases the manifestation of your wants and needs. Start the year off positively by creating the vision board of your dreams.

Eliminate anything or one toxic out of your life

This is always the hardest thing to do for most people but it is one of the most important things needed to do to have a happier, healthier life. This year, NO MORE excuses for family, friends, partners, co-workers, bosses, or ANYONE who causes an extreme amount of dis-ease, stress and or anxiety.

You cannot keep these low frequency, low vibrational beings around if you want to achieve ultimate joy, peace, and success. You must stop allowing these people and things stunt your growth. Toxic people aren’t the only thing you must eliminate, this goes for those pack of cigarettes, that bottle of Henny, and that McChicken you know you shouldn’t be eating. Self-discipline is EVERYTHING this year.

Consistency and Persistency are key!

Every year we love to set these expectations but honestly, by the end of the year, we don’t even touch the surface of the goals and accomplishments we set out for ourselves. Many times we start off strong then get distracted, unmotivated, or start to make excuses for falling off. This year let’s stay on track no matter what comes our way.

You deserve to be happy, healthy and successful in life and love; allow yourself to take care of yourself so your dreams, goals, and desires will come true. 2020 is all about clear vision, endless possibilities, and growth in all forms. I hope this list helps you guys create the year you want and the life you love.
